I first started my babysitting career when I was just 15 years old! At that time, I would babysit for a family of five across the street from me and my family, but only for their parents' occasional date nights. That went on for a couple of years until another family of five moved in two houses down from me. They had three amazing little girls, two toddler twins and a daughter that was in kindergarten! I absolutely loved every minute I spent with those three; we colored pictures, made arts and crafts, played at the neighborhood park, and even went to a roller skating rink for the older daughter's 10th birthday! I ended up babysitting for them for that last 7 years or so, but now that they're growing up they don't really need me anymore. I would love to get back into babysitting again, just for the sheer Read more joy that little kiddos bring to my heart. The reason why I became a caregiver to begin with was so I could share those moments with children that are full of laughter, fun, and maybe a little bit of messiness from the crafts! To be honest, I love getting to act like a kid for a couple of hours (with the right amount of adulting sprinkled in, of course!). I don't have kids of my own, but I deeply enjoy the beautiful and creative minds of little kids, and I think that's what makes me great at this profession. I'm able to connect with children in a way that makes them feel like I'm their friend, as well as someone who is there to take care of them. I am also CPR certified!
