I grew up as the eldest of five kids. My four siblings still call me their "Second Mother" based on the age gap between us. I also grew up as the neighborhood and church babysitter that all the parents would call anytime they needed someone. While I never had any of my own children, my four siblings blessed me with ten nieces and nephews whom I adore and vice versa. For some reason, they are enthralled with their Aunt Emi. ;) Now that some of the older ones are pre-teen years, they tell me they felt close to me because of three main things: 1) I was goofy and fun, 2) I always singled them out and made them feel special, and 3) They loved my eccentric and adventurous globetrotting stories. :) Aside from this, I spent many years teaching church camps, tutoring, summer diabetes camps, and mentoring through the Read more Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Nashville. I have been proudly matched with my "Little" from the age of 9 to 21 years old! We have been through so much together, both good and bad, but I am now proud to say she avoided the "darker side" (that her sisters took) and has become a wonderful, hard-working human being. I have been in a corporate sales environment the past 20 years. However, upon losing my job in October 2016, I decided to "seize the day" and follow my passion / addiction to traveling the globe. I did that for 1.5 years before returning to a work-from-home environment. Ahhh, the peace of mind it has brought. Currently, I am substitute teaching for Davidson County Schools, as well as teaching English online to children in Beijing, China. I also do some 100%-from-home remote customer service work for a few companies on a seasonal basis. It has all been very rewarding, I must say!! I have plenty of references. My boyfriend just became a grandaddy a few months ago, and we began keeping his little granddaughter at only six weeks of age. She is a complete joy in our lives now. You should know that I am CPR-certified, as well, for infants, toddlers, and adults. Finally, for those of you with pets, please know, I am an avid animal lover and can assist you with those needs, too. At the beginning of 2020, I lost my two small furbabies that I viewed as my children, never having had any of my own. The grief has been very real and excruciatingly tough, so I would be excited to take care of yours, as well. I have been house- and pet-sitting for years upon years. Thank you for the consideration!
