Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, I look forward to helping you with your childcare needs. I grew up in Franklin, TN. I have been a babysitter, nanny, house sitter and pet sitter since the age of 12. Most of my childcare work was done in my middle, high school and college years. As we know, children tend to grow up. Im proud that the children I have cared for are now in their 20's and doing great. I loved watching them grow from little ones and eventually 20 somethings that are now a foot taller than I am! My nurturing personality comes from my mother who owned a pre-school for and daycare for 20+ years, and raised 3 children of her own. I was born while she had her business so I grew up learning how to care for children and it became a Read more core part who I am. The nurturing side of me continued in my other professional careers. Even in working those careers I still continued babysitting for my niece and nephew, transporting them to games and staying over night to give their Mom & Dad date nights. I love to cook so don't be shy if your child has specific diet. Cooking, gardening, swimming, traveling and arts and crafts are my hobbies. I am familiar with specific dietary needs and allergies and will ensure they eat what your chosen preferences are. I have been trusted with many people's homes and pets through the years as well, making sure the house and animals are looked after while they are away on extended trips. I have a passion in caring for children and one day hope to have children of my own. (Not soon, I promise!) During high school and college I worked at a popular pottery shop for nearly 10 years where I also assisted in teaching art classes and hosting birthday parties for children. I'm great with multiple children at a time while still attending to each child's needs. I also have babysitting experience with special needs children and adore the time I spend with them. My other professional endeavors were my dream goals and I thoroughly enjoyed my past careers. After 15 years achieving those dreams I have a longing to come back to childcare as I wasn't able to spend time building a family of my own due to the long hours and travel needed for my work. Being much like my mother, I have a heart caring for children and growing respect and trust with their parents knowing they are in the safest care possible. It absolutely fills my heart. Being able to help care for my niece and nephew in recent years has made my entire world and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for them but they are teenagers now, I still can't believe it! (At least they still think I am cool enough to "hang out" with :) ) All in all, I have vast experience and would love the opportunity to meet with you and hopefully be your chosen caregiver. Currently I am looking for a full time nanny position. If there are babysitting opportunities that I can schedule I am happy to do that as well, please don't hesitate to reach out.
