Young professional, with over a decade of childcare experience. Recently moved back home to spend time with family after working in Charleston for the past 6 years. I studied arts management and music performance in college, and am a classically trained singer. I love hiking, and spending time out side, at the beach, or doing anything with my dog, Axl. As the middle child of five kids, I have a certain appreciation for high energy situations…chaos, if you will(; And developed a knack for channeling it into productive, creative energy. Although I often helped my mom in looking after my younger siblings, I had my first paid babysitting job at 14. From that point on I began regularly babysitting for a handful of families from my church. From the summers of 2013-2015 and the winters of 2015-2016, I worked as a camp counselor at Ridge Haven Camp and Retreat Center Read more in Brevard, NC. I also worked in the child care program at the Thomas E Hannah Family YMCA in downtown Spartanburg from 2015-2018, and was a camp counselor there as well. I have experience with all ages of children, including under a year, and up to 16. I also have experience in early childhood education, and working with the differently abled. During my senior year of high school, I completed the South Carolina Teacher Cadet Course and performed my practicum with Lynette Richau, who teaches K4-5th grade hearing impaired students, at Roebuck Elementary School. I also have CPR and lifeguard certification.
