I have been babysitting for over 20 years and have worked as an Elementary Teacher for the past six years. This year I started homeschooling for a family instead of teaching in the classroom. I created and implemented a Kindergarten curriculum for a 5-year-old child. I also organized playdates with other families and took her to the children's museum, library, open gym, and the park. Additionally, I cared for her older sisters and helped them with homework after school. I am looking for a similar position that encourages daily activities like going to the park or library and social interaction such as play dates or play groups. I am looking for a position with children ages 3 and over so that I am able to use my teaching skills and I am looking for 25-40 hours a week. Before my this position I worked as a Bilingual Academic Interventionist at Read more Frank Porter Graham Elementary. In that position I was responsible for creating and implementing lessons to teach bilingual reading skills. My education includes a graduate degree in Education at Texas State University and I have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Telecommunications from Indiana University. I am a certified teacher for elementary and early childhood programs. I have worked previously as a Site Coordinator where I opened and ran a new childcare facility with over fourteen staff members and managed seven classrooms. Before that position I created and taught a full Spanish and technology curriculum for students in PreK through seventh grade at a private school. I have also worked as a nanny, childcare provider, babysitter, swim instructor, lifeguard, and camp counselor for many summers with several programs. Please feel free to contact me.
