My name is Shatara White and I am 28 years old. I'm from Ravenel SC. I am a former teacher of 6 years. (Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and Pre school.) I went to Francis Marion University to study Psychology and USC Columbia to finish undergrad in Psych. I also went to Trident Tech and Midlands Tech to complete Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. Furthermore, I have certificates to work with special needs as well. I’ve always had a passion for working with children. I have experience in handling infants, creating playgroups (playtime with other babies), feeding time, changing diapers, reading, playing cognitive games (help with brain stimulation & growth), etc. Hobbies::Crafts (making various artwork), sewing clothes, reading, volunteering at animal shelter, cooking foods from other backgrounds, meditation, tutoring, going to the gym, and handcrafting candles (small business.) I enjoy working with beautiful children of all backgrounds and ages. I love Read more to get to know all about each child and getting the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. Giving my time, effort, and love to children is more rewarding to me than anything. My strengths in working with children is giving them the attention, time, understanding, love, and encouragement I can possibly give to make them feel that happiness to keep them going. To me, being a nanny, babysitter, volunteer worker, or anything else isn't me just giving my time, but also giving my heart to precious little souls I come in contact with....(with the help of the parents.) Activities I love doing with children: Arts and crafts (my favorite), outside activities (playing catch, other various games, etc.), picnics, nature walks, etc. Help with academics if there's any school work. If there isn't any school work, we still can brush up on those skills. Watch movies/talk about it after, simple safe cooking/snack making, & board games. (Cognitive games for infants) Each child is different. They are unique individuals who need a loving and stimulating environment to grow and mature accordingly. What you give, is what you get. Working with children, I want them to grow and develop love and respect for themselves, others, and the world around them. Working in childcare continuously, I have to make sure they grow beautifully so they can lead the way in the future.
