Hi! My name is Aliyah! I’m 22 years old and currently getting my degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, to eventually hopefully work in the pediatric field (but don’t worry- I take night classes to be able to work full time :)). I have been working professionally with children for 2 years. I have worked with children with autism, children as young as 6 months and as old as 6! I’m currently working at a preschool with a class of 12 and one other teacher so the amount of children isn’t an issue. Also, I am the oldest of 4. With my youngest one just turning 7, she gave me the at home experience to have knowledge on how to take care of children and entertain them since she was born. She’s the reason I started working with kids professionally in the first place! On top of that, my brother, who Read more is now 16, is autistic. He gave me the at home experience to understanding how his brain works and how he does things differently which helped me get an ongoing babysitting job with a young boy who is also autistic. I’ve been a nanny for a family for a year (now i’m just a on special occasion babysitter) for 2 siblings until they started school. I’ve helped them achieve their early milestones of learning to walk, talk, ABCs, 123s, you name it! And I did many overnights with them while the parents went on vacation with the longest amount of time being 4 days straight. Now, I can say that I’ve successfully potty trained all 12 of my students last school year between their ages of 1.5-2 years old. I believe that I’m very responsible, energetic and most importantly a fast learner!
