My name is Kimberly. I moved here from Washington NJ in March 2021. Although I have no certificates or degrees I have been in Childcare/Elderly care my whole life. I am an AWESOME mom to 2 AWESOME kids who are now 2 successful young adults. Amanda is 27 and she is the head barber at Lina’s Chop Shop, one of the nicest and busiest hair salons in Warren County. She is my Sassy one! She will always put in her two cents. But don’t be fooled because most of her two cents makes sense. Michael is 21 and he is extremely smart and extremely sweet. He was diagnosed with social anxiety & depression when he was 11 but with therapy and the help of an alternative school he graduated with honors in 2019. He is doing very well and working while going to community college. Before I moved to SC Read more I was working for a family with 3 and 5 yr old boys. Dalton, the 5yr old is a non-audible autistic child. He only communicated through hand gestures and emotions. Most of his emotions are based on excitement, fear and anger! He became very comfortable with me from day 1. His father , Paul has been known to call me “The Child Whisperer”. I like to think of It as Dalton and I have a deeper understanding of each other on a different level of communication. We seemed to have picked up on each other's emotions. If I was calm and open he’s calm and open! If I didn’t show anxiety, he didn’t react with anxiety! It didnt always work but that was fine with us, we always worked It out! Dillon the 3yr old was my “snuggle bunny”. Every morning he would crawl on my lap and ask me to put his favorite movie on, “Pete’s Dragon” He loved arts and crafts and playing school Especially when I had a new sticker pack for his worksheets! my most recent position I was working as a mothers helper 3 days a week for a family here is Myrtle Beach. I also have been working with the children at our church every Sunday at Adventure Beach.I love my classroom kiddos and they give me such joy as we learn together every week! My availability flexible . I have Excellent references and I have my own SAFE vehicle.
