Hi! My name is Lanie Schwartz and I am a babysitter, nanny, pet sitter, you name it! I started as a mother’s helper when I was 11 years old. As the oldest of four kids, I was babysitting my siblings far before that. I quickly realized I loved working with kids, and went on to be a kids swim coach, head camp counselor, full time live in nanny, and then study psychology and the sociology of early learning and education in college. I specialized in early learning and child development, with a focus on at-risk youth. I worked with disabled kids and service animals, as a teachers assistant to a kindergarten and a mentor for at risk students. As a difficult kid myself, I knew I wanted to work with children. I understand how “difficult kids” feel, and really focus on providing validation, guidance and building the self esteem and Read more self worth of children. I believe if we can raise our kids to believe that their opinion matters, they can affect change and they are important, we will raise a better next generation of leaders. I have worked with kids of all ages, but I’d say my favorite age range is 4-12! I am available for an immediate start and am looking forward to hearing from you!
