Hi my name is Tina Star, I am 37 years old and have a great pyrenees dog Sadie Pearl. I am looking for a great family that needs a full time preferably long term nanny for their family. I have been working with kids for over 15 years off and on, 2 years as a full time nanny, and other times working as a sitter in a church nursery or babysitting here and there. I have experience with ages infant -11 years old. I am currently a full time law enforcement officer, however, I am wanting to retire from the field and move into full time child care. The families I have worked for and i are still friends and i have references from them. I am open for a location move. What I want in a family is to be friends with the parents and the children. I want Read more to come to work and enjoy myself and everyone around me, to be cheerful and have fun each day. I'm optimistic in life and enjoy having fun. When I was nannying full time we had a schedule each day but if we couldn't meet it it wasn't a big deal we worked around and made everything work as best as possible. I enjoy being outside, playing games, maybe walking to the park if theirs one close by, making homemade fishing rods and throwing them in the water, digging up bait. (As you can tell I had little boys as a nanny) lol. Basically I am pretty active most of the day, however we enjoyed a DVD and popcorn in the evenings, "scary stories" under a blanket fortress etc. Just letting the kids be kids. Or have over friends and allow them all to play, I'm used to 5-6children at a time 1 being 6 months. On a rainy day we generally did exercises of it wasn't cold we may take a walk in the rain and sing, then we would read watch a DVD and hang out on couch pillows. I know a time or two we made the living room a pool with construction paper and blew up floats turned on pandora and pretended with popsicles it was hot and we were at the beach. Entertainment value! For infants I'm all about walking outside with either a stroller, or a carrier, tummy time, music, holding them, flipping on the baby network and allowing the baby to listen to different languages etc. I am CPR and first aid certified through law enforcement, so would need to retake the course for children and infants.
