I have been changing diapers since I was 8 years old, and I have been a paid babysitter since I was 11 years old. In my down time from the ages of 12-18, I was always volunteering at my church's child center in whatever age group they needed more help in. I volunteered every summer for child care help for Vacation Bible School, and I attended a mission trip to Mexico to spend time with the children while other relief teams built schools, homes, and churches in the town we visited. I also worked at LifeTime Fitness in the Kids Academy when I was in college. I was a full-time summer nanny for two children over two years. I have had the opportunity to work with kids who have Autism, learning challenges, sensory issues, and CP. I also have 4 beautiful nieces of my own; ages 6, 3, 14 months, Read more and 12 months old. Taking care of children has always been a passion of mine. With my degree and minors, I have had the opportunity to take classes that allowed me to understand the developmental stages and processes of children. *I speak some Spanish, but I'm not fluent. I lived in Barcelona, Spain while finishing up my college Spanish credits. My role as your child’s/children’s nanny/sitter is to provide a safe and clean space to allow your children to thrive in every way while under my care. My role as YOUR nanny/sitter is to cultivate a healthy, transparent, and trustworthy relationship. In turn, you should expect to be able to concentrate and focus on your daily tasks/work that are required of you and know that your children are safe, happy, entertained, and loved. I respect all family systems, structures, and beliefs and will work to provide the structure, age-appropriate curriculum and engaging crafts and activities based upon your and your children’s needs. I take pride in leaving you a house cleaner than what you left me with at the beginning of the day. I’m happy to help with dishes and laundry and whatever else is needed to help you enjoy time with your family at the end of the day. I moved from Chicago to Charleston in November of 2022 to be close to my family. My 4th niece (brother’s first child) stole my heart, when I met her a few weeks after she was born. She will turn one this July, and I miss that new born stage so much. I would love to use my passion to help a family in need. I fully believe it takes a village to raise children and would love to be part of yours.
