I have loved working with children since I was nearly 12 years old. I got my first job working in childcare when I was 16. I worked with infants and toddlers mainly. I LOVED watching them learn and grow at that age. I then taught pre-school for over 4 years and also loved different aspects of this age. It was so accomplishing to watch them “graduate” pre-k and know that I helped establish the skills they need to go on to kindergarten. While I worked in childcare I also nannied for many different families. When I was 23 years old I joined the United States Marine Corps. Service work has always been so honorable to me and I wanted to expand my abilities. I worked as a finance technician and spent the next few years at Camp Pendleton in California. I also nannied and babysat throughout those years. It’s seems Read more that no matter what I have done at different points in my life, I always find my way back to working with children. It just doesn’t ever feel like “work” to me. I have taken many college courses in early childhood development. I also have some experience with seniors. I cared for my grandma in her last few years before she passed and saw how hard it can be to do some of the everyday things like cleaning, cooking, and laundry. I also believe that a lot of seniors feel lonely at times, and really enjoy the company and conversations with someone. I loved playing cards and doing puzzles with my grandma. I also LOVE dogs!! I have no problem with other animals as well, but dogs will forever hold a special place in my heart. I recently had a pet bunny, Lola, and she loved running around the house and was a very sweet animal!! I truly do love being able to help people in so many different ways. I am willing to go the extra mile because it’s just in my nature to do so. It fills my heart and makes me feel like I’m really making a difference in other peoples lives. I have many hobbies as well!! I am always seeking to learn something new. I play the guitar, I enjoy surfing, I love rollerblading and rock climbing, and I am always finding new places to hike in nature. I have always believed that the beach is medicine to the soul. It’s the place I’ve always found to be the most calming. With everything going on in the world, we all need a place to go that replenishes our peace of mind 💜🙏🏼☀️
