I started babysitting when I was 12 years old for neighborhood kids. Starting with newborn twins, and a family of five chlidren that ranged in age from newborn to ten years old. I stopped when I started my junior year in college and obtained a full time job. I also was very active in raising my niece from newborn up until this past year (I moved an hour away), and she just turned 8 years old. I am a trained baker/food prep worker so I am very willing to cook, clean, and of course bake with the kids! I love making cookies, cupcakes, reading, doing arts and crafts, and playing outside. I currently sit part time for a baby (6 months), but am still looking for more babysitting jobs.

I have watched a 7 year old girl and 9 year old boy for almost a year until they moved , helping them with homework, playing outdoors, and going to parks, the zoo, movies, and kid's fun places. I have taken care of and nurtured a toddler from the time she was 3 months old until 2 years of age. We went on daily outings to the park, library, and children's museum. I have kept a daily journal for parents to enhance communication. I have had several dogs ( golden retrievers) and am pet-friendly. I am very hard-working, reliable, friendly, kind, supportive, and loyal.

I have worked with children most of my life. I used to babysit for neighborhood children when I was growing up. I then went to college for Business Administration but also completed the requirements for teacher certification in Pre-K to Grade 2. I worked for several years with Head Start and then at a child development center (for more than 12 years) in several roles from teaching to administration. I am a mom of a college student and now have more time on my hands so I would like to get back to working with young children again.
