Meet Denise

I am a single parent who raised my daughter and three sons, largely on my own, in South Kingstown. It was and always will be the greatest experience of my life. My vision was to raise a strong family and, ever since I was young, I enjoyed caring for babies and young children. I started babysitting at 10 and that carried into my middle school, high school and college years. I earned a B.A. in Sociology and took many classes oriented around child development. Since that time I have worked as a full-time nanny, a one-on-one aid, acquired a TA certificate and substituted at the elementary level in many schools in South Kingstown. I also watched neighbors' children on a regular and as needed basis. As my children got older I worked full-time at an early learning center with infants and toddlers. Out of financial necessity I began to work Read more in and administrative assistant capacity, first for a law firm for many years and currently in a CPA firm, due to downsizing. As my youngest is now beginning law school, I am hoping to supplement my income in a way that can also afford me the opportunity to do something I love in the hopes of helping a young family at the same time. I have shared some hours that I think might work best but am flexible depending on the situation. I believe my experience, enthusiasm, patience and genuine love for children would hopefully be the kind of person you seek to spend time with yours.
