I am a 45 year old mother of three. My youngest child is 17 and will not be accompanying me. I am looking for occasional sitting, perhaps for 1/2 day backup or your night out. I was employed full time at the same company for 24 years but was recently terminated for refusing their vaccination policy. Babysitting is not a replacement for the kind of full time employment I eventually will obtain. I want to shake up my newly boring schedule and I miss spending time with kids. I believe this will add more sunshine to my life. I have experience with all ages and an unwavering peaceful parenting philosophy. I am patient, affectionate, and carefully attentive. I can help children with homework/tutoring and with their chores. I prefer not to do regular household chores beyond cleaning up after myself and the kids during our time. However, I am willing Read more to pitch in on a little housework to relieve mom and dad when life is going too fast. I have experience with some special medical issues in infants and toddlers. Specifically, feeding tube, oxygen monitoring, specialized diet and needs, administration of medication. I can be counted on to care for a sick or medical needs child, keep an accurate diary, and quickly recognize a change requiring medical attention, whether minor and that's a call to Mom/Dad to come home now or a need for the hospital. I own a reliable car, which is small and older. I have no moving violations or accidents for over 20 years. I take pride in my careful and defensive driving skills. I am an animal lover and will love your pets but I will not walk powerful or unruly dogs. Overall, I am laid back and non-authoritarian. I'm not a stickler for rules for the sake of rules, but follow and respect parent rules. I don't believe in hovering or constant corrections. I won't work for parents who hit the kids, criticize hurtfully, or yell excessively. I am a cigarette smoker but I will not smoke in your home and I will not go outside to smoke unless everyone is safe in bed. I will smoke while supervising kids outdoors, so that's a conversation to have with them if they don't already understand. I can abstain from smoking for a short shift of 4 or fewer hours, if that's something that's a high value of yours. If we continue long term, my smoking should be explained. I don't want them to smell my jacket and decide I'm dishonest. Again, my goal is to have some fun while I have the chance. I love snuggling babies and conversations with all ages.
