Hello! My name is Katherine but my students and co-workers usually refer to me as Kat. I previously worked with school age children at a private school and am currently working as a Direct Support Professional at a residential home. I have 5+ years experience working with children ages 5-15 in a school based setting and countless years babysitting young children (sibling, cousins, neighbors, etc) on my spare time. Some of my current responsibilities as a DSP include house maintenance tasks (inventory, grocery shopping, weekly/monthly cleaning, etc), Fire Safety (monitoring CO2/fire alarms & checking fire extinguishers), promoting independence for my client in their home/community, and most Read more importantly helping my client have a happy and fulfilled life. Due to the nature of my work, I am interested in a part time position (but am open to a full time position) and caring for no more than 2 children at a time.
