Hi! My name is Sarah, and I am currently a sophomore at Fordham University on the Upper West Side. I have always loved working with children since I began babysitting as a freshman in high school. Since then, I have annually volunteered at a one-week sleepaway camp where I care for my assigned camper 24 hours each day during the week. This camp's mission is to support and positively impact disadvantaged children who often experience behavioral difficulties. This past year, I tutored a 10-year-old boy in the Bahamas who was unfortunately severely behind in his reading apprehension. I also have experience watching toddlers, as I babysat for my 2 year old neighbor throughout the summer! In the future, I hope to empower and inspire both young children and teenagers in whichever field of work allows me to do so!
