First Aid / CPR Certified! I’m originally from Southwestern Pennsylvania, which is where I garnered my skills in childcare, senior care, and other homely duties. I worked seasonally for the Boy Scouts of America for four consecutive years serving as a Chaplain for summer programs (think like school counselor but for summer camp!). I began working with ages 4-10 and then eventually graduated to ages 11-18–my main focus was with homesick and troubled youth, so I have much experience and training involving crisis intervention and counseling from toddlers to 18 year olds. I come from a prominent childcare family in PA, with much of my family working in early education, social work, foster care, and childhood development—thus, the entirety of my life was spent in an environment heavily influenced by childcare. Through my employment with the BSA I became a suicide prevention counselor where I led a local chapter of Read more The Yellow Ribbon Project, an organization that raises awareness for youth suffering from mental health. I was raised on a farm which gave me the knowledge for things like pet care, cooking, cleaning, and even some handy work if need be. Whether it be a pet sitter, a nanny that can cook, or even a piano teacher - I’m the person for you! I moved to the city because I am currently attending Marymount Manhattan College for Musical Theatre, why I am choosing to do sitting now is because I remember how gratifying working with children was for me, hence the perfect still-in-college job. Circling back to the piano thing, I’ve played for ten years and have experience teaching so I’d love to negotiate something if your child is interested in music! Nonetheless, there’s a plethora of services I have to offer and I’d love to connect to speak more about what it is you may need!
