Hello, I am happy that you have stumbled upon my profile! My name is Jillian, I’m in my late twenties and I’ve been in the Sewickley area my whole life. My grandfather, Mel, owned a gas station in Leetsdale before I was born and my grandmother, Renee, owned a dress shop! I have three siblings and four wonderful nieces and nephews. I have a sleepy and uncoordinated pitbull named Ziva, and I enjoy being outside in the shade, listening to pop and pop punk music, and snacking on fruit while watching NCIS or Friends. I began my babysitting “career” at St Stephen’s back in 2011 or 2012. It was very casual but a wonderful introduction to the world of working with kids. From there, I ended up working with small group Bible studies outside of the church. I worked with those groups for a handful of years and anywhere from Read more four to eighteen kids from 2 years old to 12 years old could attend. I’ve worked with several families with up to five children for longer periods of times and getting to know the kids and watch them grow up and learn was so exciting for me. It very much solidified that getting to see how kids see the world brings me joy. I’ve now been working at the YMCA daycare and preschool for about 2.5 years and I’ve worked in all of the rooms for enough time to get to know the age group wants, needs, challenges, and capabilities. I am comfortable and have experience working with infants as young as three months all the way up to early teenagers. I am CPR certified, I am current on my health and safety trainings, my FBI fingerprints, state and federal clearances and background checks, all of which can be made available upon request. I also do yearly water play and fire safety trainings for my job. I do work full time but am available Wednesday and Thursday evenings after work from 6pm-9/10pm, Fridays after work from 6:30pm until 11:30pm/midnight, Saturdays 8am-midnight, and Sundays from noon until 4pm. *Right now, I do not have a car. Growing up in town has provided me the unique benefit of knowing the parks, playgrounds, shops ect well enough to take kids to these places within walking distance if wanted/weather permitting ect. I am more than happy to go for walks/bike rides/scooter around the neighborhood, play outside, do some art projects, help with homework, throw some dinner together, have a movie night, play dress up, make dessert, read books, have a dance party and whatever your little one(s) loves.
