Hi! My name is Val. I am a junior socialwork major at the Pennsylvania Western pursuing a career in counseling, I have years of childcare experience starting with camp counseling in 2015 at Camp Allegheny, where I worked with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds. I have lots of experience babysitting locally, and at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort where I privately babysat for the Hardy Family. I also previously worked as an Art Teacher for Nemacolin and taught all age groups from infants to adults🌻 I have also worked as a residential counselor for a mental health inpatient facility in Fayette County. At that job, I mainly worked with adults with mental illness. I have always preferred working with children, the disabled, and the elderly. Completely comfortable with ASD, ADHD, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Sensory Processing Disorder, and others. I love teaching art, life skills, self-care, and teaching others how to express Read more themselves through art to promote positive mental health 💕 I have CPR training, fire safety, (Crosskeys Human Services) mandated reporter training (California University), conflict-resolution training (Crosskeys Human Services), and lots of emergency reaction training (Camp Allegheny). I have lots of energy for kids that love to play and be active, and I love spending time outside. I like to teach painting or drawing lessons so if that is something your child is interested I am more than happy to bring supplies! I also don’t mind cleaning, organizing, or cooking while I am sitting, or anything else that might need to be done while sitting. I am also very experienced in giving medication from doing it at my previous job on a large scale.
