Hi! My name is Alex and I am 29 years old with over 10 years of experience nannying/babysitting! I have nannied and cared for families with multiple children, twins, etc. all the way through high school, college. I have my bachelors of science degree in Health Sciences (so I am comfortable with basic first aid), but once I had my first born, I took a break from clinical healthcare and accepted a part time Health Administration role. My son was a Covid baby and at the time I was looking for extra income, so I started looking for some safe socialization childcare and employment options. I started nannying again, and found a wonderful family who was looking for socialization and childcare. They allowed for my son to come along with me & we ended up becoming great friends & our kiddos are now best friends that hang out weekly! I Read more was laid off a little over a year and a half ago from my part time role and a few weeks before I had my second baby, I was offered a smaller, remote Health Admin job that requires 5-10 hours a week of my time. I have helped friends out with childcare along the way, but am now looking for something more consistent. I am also fortunate that my current job is for a pediatric counseling facility, so I have become certified in a Child Abuse course through the University of Pittsburgh and can provide that upon request. I also am willing to go through any background checks and provide references, etc.! I know it's not always ideal for a caregiver to have their kids along, and that's okay if you're not comfortable! I have a 4 year old son in preschool 3x a week and a 1 year old daughter home with me & I would be looking for part time in my home. I have a finished basement/playroom, baby proofed home, and fenced in backyard. We live on a quiet, dead-end street in Shaler close to many parks. We spend most of our days coloring, doing crafts and painting, reading and doing age-appropriate development such as words and brain games, fine and gross motor skills/activities, outdoor time, and imaginative play. There is a lot of music and movement in our house and we have an abundance of toys. We also love Disney movies and the occasional Bluey/Ms. Rachel/Super Simply Songs/Elmo in our home. Nothing is more important to me than my job as a mom. It's my biggest blessing and achievement and I know how hard it is finding someone trustworthy and safe to watch your babies.
