Hello! My name is Emily. I am currently in school for occupational therapy. I have been babysitting ever since I was a teenager. I worked a summer in a daycare in 2018 in the infant room, where the lead teacher and I cared for up to 8 infants at a time! I also spent a gap year from 2020 to 2021 as the full-time nanny for my nephew from age 9 weeks to 1 year. During my time in school, I interned full-time for 12 weeks at a school for early intervention, where I sustained a caseload of 30 kids all 3-5 years old with diagnoses of autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays. My current final year in occupational therapy school is a research year in which I am working with kids with Down syndrome of all ages. My favorite thing about kids is how smart they are and how they give us older folks a different perspective on the world!
