I am an experienced, and passionate nanny with a flair for arts and crafts. I love facilitating a passion for the arts with children. As a nanny and babysitter I excel in the general care of the children by maintaining a safe and healthy environment. I strive to create a positive childcare environment by preparing arts and crafts activities, playing games, singing songs, avoiding conflict situations and nurturing self-esteem to help children discover what they are passionate about. I enjoy spending time outdoors and nurturing a compassion in children for nature and all living creatures. My last nanny position, which spanned 2 years, I provided exceptional care for two children beginning at the ages of 3 and 6. During my time with them I successfully scheduled and managed the children’s activities (including pick-ups and drop-offs to school, after-school activities, play-dates, etc.), prepared healthy meals and snacks, assisted in homework and Read more encouraged learning and creativity outside of classroom through crafting, creating, music-making and playing games. I also worked as a camp counselor at a Philadelphia neighborhood Arts Enrichment Camp, where I developed art lessons and activities for groups of children ages 4-7. The single most important thing I learned during this summer was that while teaching art and fostering art appreciation was important to me, I realized that striving to build character, self-esteem and self-worth in the campers was even more important and gratifying. I just returned to Philadelphia from a 7-month trip exploring beautiful areas of the West coast and I feel endlessly inspired. I love adventure, new experiences and will creatively find the best way to introduce, support and guide your children to discover their own love of learning, exploring, creativity, imagination and life.
