I am looking to provide occasional as-needed evening or weekend day/night care for a family. I am searching for a long-term nanny position but would enjoy also developing a relationship with a family with occasional childcare needs for i.e. date nights, meetings, and even weekend-long getaways. Overall, I would provide excellent childcare due to my past experience, my attention to detail, and my enthusiasm in connecting with children and engaging their interests and curiosity. In the past, I provided as-needed weekly care for three sisters for seven years starting when the eldest were 2 and 4 and ending when the girls were 4, 9, and 11 years of age. Evident in my experience as a nanny sub, I can quickly adapt to preserve a schedule and intuitively respond to children's needs, perceiving patterns in behavior and discerning when to make a judgment call versus a phone call. Overall as a caregiver, I balance playfulness and nurture with consistency and structure while adhering to a schedule and your care and discipline preferences. Coming from a family with eight nieces and nephews and being close with my six siblings, I recognize the significance of entrusting another with the care of one’s children. I would develop a genuine connection with your children as individuals such that when I relayed to you the events of our time together, I would be conveying wholehearted excitement as well as investment in their success and well being. Having a B.A. in Psychology, I would provide your children with enriching, fun activities to engage their creativity, achieve developmental milestones, and prepare them for the classroom. I would enjoy guiding arts and crafts activities, reading, playing games, exploring outside, and sharing in whatever may be the hobbies and learning endeavors of your children.
