While attending college for my art degree, I worked with several families part time. These were so fun and rewarding, that I decided to pursue childcare full-time, with professional nanny positions. For over 15 years I have continued to provide families with individualized care for their children, including experience with newborns and infant twins! Providing help with transportation, overnights, nanny share and pet care are included in my detailed resume, with references available upon request. In between regular positions, I focus on occasional sitting and providing emergency/ back up care. I am definitely a people person. I believe the energy you put out is the energy you get, which is most likely why I get along so well with kids. For me I’m always positive, I love to play around, I love conversation, I just love being human. I don’t have much experience with babysitting other than taking care of my younger family members. However, I have been meaning to get into this game for a while now because of how much I love kids, and helping out others. I don’t see babysitting as a job. I see it as working with children, and understanding their wants and needs to make everyone’s experience smooth and easy. I would love to be the person, in any parents life, to take away their worry about their children’s well being when they are away from them. I am a mother to a wonderful almost 6 year old. I have always been the one to help out in the nursery at church and help with friends and family that needed help. Most of my experience has been caring for close family and friends so much of my experience has not been paid. I love providing enrichment activities and watching how children learn and the light bulb goes off. I have a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences, which was an emphasis of Occupational Therapy as that was my goal to complete the combined Masters of OT with that. So I take that background and the classes in child development and care with me. I have been cpr and first aid certified several times over the last 12 years. I love to play and have as much screen free time as possible. Children are learning how to interact and survive in this world, so are we, we just have had more years to get better.
