Hello My name is Miss Julia and I am 35 years old. It is with pleasure to submit my resume to be considered for the position applied for at your center/home based position If selected for your position, I would exhibit expert instruction &leadership skills. I have worked with children ages 6wks to 10yrs of age. During my teaching experience, I have been commended for the professionalism that I have displayed as well as the individual thought and consideration I gave to each of my students My present job is that of a nanny/caregiver for a special needs child. He is 5yrs old and severely autistic. I have been with the family for over a year. However he will be starting kindergarten in the fall and the hours I have been providing will no longer be needed. The duties which this job entailed were waking the child up, getting him Read more dressed, preparing and feeding all meals, taking him to school, staying in school with him to shadow&provide support to the teachers, providing him with toileting help, taking him out for extracurricular activities (speech, OT, park, library, out to eat etc.)Ihave been grateful to work with the child’s team of therapists and specialists.. This provided me with much knowledge, insight and experience with ABA therapy and interventions and Verbal Behavior programs. I have learned many behavioral interventions in working with a child on the spectrum. I have worked in the childcare field for the last ten years via; lead teacher of infant, toddler and pre-school classrooms. I also have had experience teaching a kindergarten enrichment program. In my last teaching job I held supervisory duties, such as opening the school and being in charge of the center until the director comes in as well as being in charge of the center if my director is out. I have my CDA and am CPR and First Aid certified. I have a passion for teaching, I love watching children grow and learn. I find this to be one of the most rewarding experiences life has to offer. I believe children learn through play. My classrooms have always been set up so that the children’s day is filled with activities that are fun, educational, and stimulating while maintaining a relaxed and loving environment. Gross motor development, creativity, socialization, age appropriate independence, accomplishing tasks on a basic level such as following directions, adapting to routines and daily exposure to different materials in art and science activities are goals I strive for the children to be
