Hi everyone! My name is Kylie & I am soon to be 24! I graduated from Palmerton HS in 2019, but now live in Lehighton. I started in childcare as a volunteer when I turned 16 and got my working papers. I quickly realized how much I loved the profession when I started in babies, which were ages 14 weeks - 1 year old. I was with this group for close to a year, but quickly got put into the toddler group, as a lead teacher, after a coworker left. Being so new to the profession, even after a year, I was new to the age, the classroom & the position. I quickly learned how to manage, maintain & run a proper classroom. The toddler group was ages 1-2 & I was lead teacher in that group for a little less than 2 years. I quickly fell in love with Read more the toddler age & the fun activities & wanted to pursue preschool. After almost 2 years with toddlers, I started as a lead teacher in a Preschool classroom. I learned how to do state standard lesson plans & state required child progress reports. I continued to stay in the preschool classroom as a lead teacher for the next 2 years & in 2021, decided to help a family friend care for her children as she went back to work, from there I started at a different childcare center, where I was caring for up to 22 3 year olds in a classroom. I recently left that childcare center & am looking for a more calm setting. I am a very loving and nurturing childcare provider and do very well with one on one or small groups of children. I have my pediatric / adult CPR / FA, along with state required online classes and fire safety training. I love to spend time with children & allow them to enjoy their days with me, as I know being away from parents is always hard. I love to have fun & let children teach me, as I teach them. I love to do messy activities like painting & sensory activities, along with more simple & fun things like going outside, water play, singing, dancing, coloring, reading books, teaching the days, months, weather, letters, number and their names. I love to allow children to learn through play, as it is more fun & enjoyable for them (and us). Over the last 7 years I have worked in 2 different childcare centers and have babysat / nannied for private families. I would love to talk more & find a family that I can grow with.
