Hi! I am Courtney. It is so nice to connect with you. I have a background working with a variety of ages, including infant through school age. I worked as a supervisor for an extended care program in an elementary school, supervising staff, working closely with children and planning activities and completing homework, and utilized problem solving skills to assist while working with the children. I also work as a pet sitter, through my own company, and I love furry friends alike. I have a current CPR/FA certification (for both pets and humans, haha). I really enjoy reading yoga, painting, and most outdoor activities. In the past, I have done before school care as a parent's helper, as well as afterschool care in homes as parents transition home from work. I have all current clearances and am able to provide a copy. My education includes a 4-year BA degree in Read more psychology, and I am currently enrolled in a master's degree program in leadership and organizational management. I worked in the mental health and human services world for a number of years, including working with children and adolescents struggling with mental illness and/or behavioral challenges on an inpatient, residential, and outpatient level. I bring empathy to the challenges that children face today and utilize this empathy and compassion to help children feel supported and heard. I love getting creative and messy (don't worry, I clean up after myself) with projects and crafts, but I can also throw a baseball :) I am happy to answer any questions you have.
