Good morning, I permanently relocated to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area on June 17th. I am hopeful my extensive background in childcare and my passion for the well-being and development of children will enable me to secure a full time position with a local family. The key skills I possess for prosperity in this position include: - I most recently served as a private nanny for 2 children ages 8 and 10 each weekday afternoon in Glenview, Illinois. - I created lesson plans and taught a 2nd grade classroom of 15 students at Temple Jeremiah in Northfield, Illinois and at Congregation Solel in Highland Park, Illinois. - I assistant taught a classroom of 12 two- year-olds at the Gertrude B. Nielsen Childcare and Learning Center in Northbrook, Illinois. - I supervised children in their after school activities, assisted them with homework, and transported them to-and-from their extracurricular sports programs as a Read more nanny with College Nannies and Tutors in Glenview, Illinois. - I provided an emotionally and physically safe learning environment for the “campers” while employed by Camp Make Believe, an after-school behavioral/therapeutic program for children challenged with developmental delays and emotional instabilities in Las Vegas, Nevada. - I created and supervised fun, educational, and musical activities for children ages 2 years- Bar/Bat Mitzvah age (8th grade) while employed by the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada’s Camp K’helah Day Camp program. - In addition to spending my day with the children, I make sure to keep the parents/guardians informed of what we do on a day-to-day basis by keeping on-going email contact and sending home regular letters. I graduated with honors and a member of Phi Theta Kappa (National Honor Society) with my Associates Degree in Human Services from William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois.
