Hello there! I am a young professional who has recently left an office job, seeking to return to the more personal, fulfilling work I once enjoyed in the realm of child and pet care. Originally from western PA, I once worked for College Nannies + Sitters + Tutors of North Pittsburgh as both a tutor and sitter. With this wonderful agency, I had the chance to teach and provide care for children of all ages, with a wide variety of needs and interests. I am comfortable with many medical and developmental needs and am always ready to learn more so that I can provide the best care possible. Each child has their own unique way of engaging with the world and communicating with others, and I cherish the perspectives I can learn from every one of them. When it comes to pet care, I have a great depth of experience: from growing up volunteering at shelters to getting my first "real" job at a kennel to running my own pet care business (Klingensmith Pet Care) during my college years, there is little I haven't seen. I have cared for a wide range of species and breeds and always love learning about ones I haven't encountered yet. My specialities include care for senior dogs and cats, special needs animals (including oral, intravenous and topical medication administration for dogs), freshwater fish/aquariums, and dogs with severe separation anxiety and other behavioral issues. Some of my favorite species to care for outside of cats and dogs are ferrets, rabbits, and bearded dragons. I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Pfizer, second dose administered on 1/20/21).
