Hi, I’m Susan. A previous RN who has worked with kids of all ages, both typical and special needs. I’ve worked in various clinical settings from the ER to Pediatric Homecare with Bayada. I do not work in the clinical setting any longer- I am interested in working on the other side with kids who don’t need an IV and X-rays. I’ve raised twin stepchildren and a son of my own. I am youthful and energetic, and love working with kids. I get on quite well with them because I can play and know how to get my silly on. Most importantly, I treat children with respect and dignity- while also setting expectations for behavior. I believe that if you treat children with respect and expect the same in return, you will get it. I coach bowling, basketball and Young Athletes (2-7) with Chester County Special Olympics in my free time. I also volunteer for a monthly respite night and work with kids with special needs aged 2-23 depending on my assignment for that session. I’m interested in some part time work during the week and I’m also available for date night sitting for Mom & Dad to get a break sometimes also.
