I am newly married and have no kids of my own yet, but I have 6 precious nieces and nephews! Aside from many one or two-time babysitting gigs for friends at church, I have had several long-term babysitting connections: I spent 3 months living with my brother and his wife as a nanny for my nephew after their first son was born. I also served for a year as a regular babysitter for a family with 2 small boys, who were 2 yrs old and 5 months old when I started watching them 2x a week. I have also been a regular date-night sitter for a family with 2 young girls, and another family two boys, preschool and kindergarten-aged. I spent 3 summers on staff at a summer camp, which has provided me much experience with high energy, fun-loving kids from ages 5-18! I love children--their enthusiastic perspective on life, Read more their unbridled creativity, and their desire to learn new things. I hope to help encourage every child I babysit with patience and support as they learn and grow, whatever stage of development they are in!
