Hi! My name is Julz! I’m a young at heart, empty nester. I have 35 years experience in childcare, from babysitting to being employed as a full time Nanny, then raising my own children along with teaching and working with children. I have 2 boys who are now well established adults with bright futures! I take pride in how well they are doing in life and that they are respected members of society. I connect well with children of all ages and enjoy not only caring for children, but also being a good role model and mentor. I’m an excellent homemaker and prefer a clean and well organized home! I’m an amazing cook and also a very good baker! I claim I make the best chocolate chip “low sugar” cookies in the Northwest! I believe food should taste exquisite, but also be healthy for us as well! I enjoy exercise Read more and feel it’s important for children to get adequate daily exercise as well. Walks to nearby parks and play time is encouraged. I think it’s important for children to experience the wonders and beauty that nature gives to us and to be outdoors whenever opportunities arise to do so. I’m an avid roller skater and have taught a children’s roller skating class. I also taught jam skating to teens. Jam skating is a form of hip hop/breakdancing on roller skates. I’m currently an artist and I do several forms of media. I taught art classes to children at Young Art Studios. I enjoy teaching art to children or just creating fun craft time for them to do art expressions. I’m also a musician and singer and can teach music theory to children and help with most instruments lessons or practice time. I played the clarinet for 15 years and remained first chair in my orchestra. I also play some guitar, piano and cajon drum. I read music as well. In my younger years I went to trade school to become a CNA. Although I am not currently certified, I have the training and life experience under my belt. I feel I also do well under pressure and keep calm should urgency and emergency situations arise, acting fast without panic. I love all animals! Cats and dogs love me! I have a wonderful senior dog of 12 years, who is my best friend, and we enjoy walks and adventures. I have a clean valid drivers license, my own transportation and insurance. I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, nor do I tolerate being around it. I will pass background checks and drug tests. I come with excellent references and work ethic! Thank you for your consideration!
