Hello! A little about myself is that I have lived/grown up in Southern Oregon my entire life. I graduated from Eagle Point High School in 2018. Through both my long time personal and recent professional work experiences I feel I have been able to greatly grow my communication skills, listening skills, and creativity, which I know are all important to have when working with children always. I have always found that I do greatly enjoy working and interacting with kids. I have worked in child care or babysitting since the age of 13 myself (8+ years), as well as my most recent experience with the Rogue Valley YMCA Child Care program where I was an Instructional Supervisor/Counselor of a group of about 20-30 children max. Just to be an experience in a child’s life even for a bit, I believe is an incredible responsibility to have. I believe just taking the time to understand the child can help in so many ways. Personal connections are important. I can be quick to adapt within my environments and feel I am very hardworking and flexible. I do have my CPR First Aid certification as well as my ICCHS & RRCAN certifications through Portland State, which I received during my time at YMCA. I will begin working as a Instructional Assistant at a public community school (K-8th grade) located in Ashland full-time, which is why I am only available part-time in the afternoons/after school at about 3:30-4pm.
