Hello! My name is Grace, I'm 22 years old and currently a student at the University of Oregon majoring in Family and Human Services. Working with children is my greatest passion in life as it brings me the greatest amount of joy. I am a fanatic about the outdoors! I enjoy going to parks, going on walks, swimming, chalk art, painting, anything you can do outside-I love doing! I am a kid at heart so playing games is always super fun such as tag, hide and seek, red light green light, you name it! I also love and appreciate stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things and going to new places. As for my experience, I worked at a summer camp with groups as large as 30 and ranged from kids between the ages of 5-12. I planned fun activities for the kids to do outdoors as Read more well as indoors. The camps were every day starting at 8am to 4pm. Every friday we took them on a fun field trip like swimming, museums, and parks! I also worked at Durham Elementary School where I taught classes and helped out in the classroom by grading tests and helping out with math, reading, writing, etc. I created fun lessons, classes, and activities in the preschool at my high school which consisted of coming up with a theme (ex. friendship) and an activity for math, literacy, reading, and art. I'v previously nannied a 6 year old, 12 year old, and 2 year old with special needs. As a babysitter, the most important thing to me is the safety of each child. It is extremely important to always make sure each child is safe and that will always be my number one concern. I go out of my way to ensure I'm building and establishing a trusting, safe, and caring relationship with each child.I also highly value ensuring that children have fun! This has never been a job to me, I thoroughly love spending time with kids. Whenever envisioning my future job and what I want out of life, it always involves kids. Please message me with any questions and I will be happy to answer them!
