Aloha, I recently transition to Portland OR from Honolulu HI last Winter. I am a certified elementary school teacher with 11 years of classroom experience, acquired a OR food handler card, currently registered in the Oregon Registry and a certified substitute teacher for the state of OR. I've had the opportunity to work with individuals of intellectually delayed abilities for 5 years in their homes, schools and within the community. In addition, I have over 10 years of coaching youth and high school boys and girls basketball. I enjoy being physically active, exploring the outdoors, gardening and cooking. What I enjoy most about interacting with children is giving them the opportunity to develop skills emotionally or academically. Guiding them to exploring their strengths and grow from their weaknesses.
