Hi, there. My name is Meghan and I have been nannying for the past ten years. I started occasionally nannying when I was 15 years old and continued to nanny through college at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I graduated with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology, with a minor in creative writing. I hope to pursue grad school within the next five years, but I am currently working hard to save up for it in the meantime. I have experience with infants, toddlers, elementary, middle, and teenage children. I have worked part time and full time jobs as a nanny, ranging from 10-60 hours a week. I have immense experience with overnights, house-sitting, and pet-sitting as well. I have also worked as a tutor for elementary and middle school aged children. I can provide numerous references to help with the hiring process. I recently moved to Oregon from Read more Colorado to pursue a change of scenery and am hoping to find a family that integrates well with my schedule, personality, and expertise. I am creative, imaginative, and love to use the outdoors as a classroom. I have extensive experience with programs such as Outward Bound and I know how to facilitate growth and education in a natural environment. You can count on me to leave your home better than how it was when I arrived. I pride myself on being extremely clean and organized, often being proactive with chores around the house while children nap or are at school. These include, but are not limited to, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, organizing, decorating, walking / caring for pets, etc. I also pride myself in taking the innovative to discover new and engaging activists for children within the community. Some programs that I currently take the 28-month-old I nanny for are: swim class, story time at the library, Kids Museum, events / parades, kids yoga, toddler gymnastics, etc. I am also a licensed and insured kids and adult yoga instructor, which often times leads to fun activities with the children I nanny for. Being a nanny brings me a sense of joy that I have not found at any other job I have worked. The priceless experience of sharing in children’s joy as they discover, learn, and grow is unmatched. It would be an honor to work closely and grow with your family.
