My name is Jacquelyn Van Jura. I am 42 years old and have a lot of experience working with kids. I have experience teaching, supervising summer camps and after school programs, babysitting and nanny jobs with plenty of good references. I got my degree in Recreational Therapy in 2013 from the University of Utah and got hired on with Basin Recreation as a field trip supervisor for two summers. I was driving the bus with 12-25 kids and supervising kids and around 5 staff members. Then I got a job in Preschool Special Education for the Park City School District when the school year started, which I did for 2 years as well as working in the after school program. In 2016 I got a job as a Preschool teacher for 4/5 year olds for the Park City School District which I did for almost three years. My husband and Read more I also run a small bike bag making Company from our house called BroadFork Bags. We have been getting busier and busier every year and I decided it was time to quit teaching and run our business full time in December of 2019. However I missed being with the kids and got a part-time nanny job for a 10 and 12 year old. Once the Pandemic hit, I came up with a daily schedule for them and helped them get all their school work done and manage online zoom meetings with their teachers. Now I am moving to Oregon and hoping to work with a family who needs help with their kids school work and possibly some meal prep, cleaning and errands. I have been certified in first aid and cpr many times, however I believe that certification has lapsed and I will need to get it again. I drive a 2011 Subaru Outback which has been a fantastic and reliable car for me. I really enjoy spending time with kids and I think they like spending time with me too. I like to have a lot of fun and be silly with them and at the same time have a nice balance of when it is time to have fun and when it is time to get to work. I try to be on my phone as little as possible and spend quality time with the kids listening to them and giving them the attention they want and deserve.
