I recently graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Oregon. There I took classes in child development, couples and family therapy in positive psychology. I have worked in a couple of different day cares over the past couple of years as I have entered my own journey into motherhood. I have a seven month old baby named Leon who is an absolute joy in my life. I have extensive babysitting and nannying experience as well. My last job I worked for a family with two little ones that were one and three. I also helped to raise my two little siblings who are 13 and 14 years younger than me. My ultimate goal is to become a couples and family therapist and I plan to apply to programs in the next couple of years. My hope is to find a family to work for that will allow me to bring my little one with me to work in order to create an enriching environment for him and the little one I am working with.I’m very Interested in Montessori principles, and I love to incorporate nature and creative play into my work. Reading to little ones, providing opportunities to make art and music are also very important to me and I can incorporate them into the daily routine for each child. I really put my whole heart into my work with children, especially while I am raising my own little one. I don’t mind doing lighthouse work and I absolutely love pets.
