Hi! My name is Lauren. I'm a university student and I'm 22 years old! I love working with kids. I've been working with children for the past 6 years now (both through volunteer work and paid work). I've worked with children ages 6 months - 15 years. I'm a sunny happy person with a lot of love for nature and families. I like to make everyday things an adventure and see the good in the world. I bring a positive outlook with me wherever I go and love to share with other people. In the past, I've worked as an Au Pair a few times, with children between the ages of 4-15. I worked providing live-in childcare and English tutoring to international families. It was an incredible experience. I got to work with the children as a family member while helping them to grow in their education and their passion Read more for learning. I'm also incredibly passionate about early childhood education, which is something I'd like to continue working with. I've also worked in a daycare center with children ages 6 months - 6 years. I loved working with all the kids and helping them learn! But I also learned that I prefer to really get to know a child so that I can understand their individual perspective and help them from that perspective. I have also worked as a babysitter for children ages 2-8 and as a science camp counselor for children ages 8-10. I'm studying to be a doctor and my parents both work in healthcare, so I'm very well-trained in CPR and first aid. I like to take on a loving and family-member-esque relationship to the children and the parents. I grow very fond of the kids and like to be involved beyond a strict employee-employer relationship. I've found that this helps the children feel supported I have experience working with children with special needs. In particular, I've worked with children with autism, Down Syndrome, and ADHD. But I am very willing to learn about other disabilities to help care for your child. I want to work as a pediatrician, so disabilities are something I'm very passionate about. I think acceptance and support of all abilities is fundamental I am fully vaccinated and believe the safety of your family is the most important thing. ~~~~~ Please note: I am a nanny who uses mobility aids. It doesn't prevent me from doing my nanny work and the child(ren) is always my number one priority. I think this could be a great opportunity for your child to learn about diversity and inclusion~~~~
