As a detailed- oriented, driven professional, I offer many years of broad experience in clinical social work. I work at an all girl’s therapeutic boarding school, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression and executive functioning disorders. My role is to teach youth how to build healthy relationships, using skills that empower them to grow as individuals, and allowing them to create healthy relationships within themselves, too. I have extensive education in crisis intervention, and managing aggressive behaviors. Due to the nature of this job, I have found that my passion is the development of children and helping them overcome trauma. My two ultimate goals are to become a foster parent in the next 5 years, where I can provide a healthy, and safe environment for a child in need. I am confident that in the next chapter of my life, this job would be a great segue into the second long-term goal of getting my degree in clinical social work, specializing in sexual abuse, and joining the fight in stopping human trafficking. I have a deep passion to helping those who are navigating sexual abuse trauma. I have experience in crisis intervention, manage aggressive behaviors, suicide ideation and prevention. Providing youth with a stable and consistent foundation is important to ensure the healthy development of an individual. As I turn my focus to caring for young children, I would love the opportunity to work with children, and getting the experience necessary to further pursue my passion. I believe that my personal and professional experiences have allowed me to build a foundation in which I could be of help in a child’s life in a positive way, in addition to help support the family with their needs.
