Hi Everyone! My name is Amanda. I am 36 years old. I am married to a wonderful man. We do not have any children, but we are trying to conceive. I have 1 nephew and 2 nieces, they are all under the age of 5 and they all 3 have my heart. I was born & raised in central Oklahoma. I was raised by a single mom, and I am the oldest of siblings so I was responsible for taking care of my siblings when we were growing up. I have a bachelors of science in healthcare administration, and I have worked in the healthcare field for 10 years. I have been providing babysitting &/or nanny services since I was 14 years old. I also have experience caring for children with special needs, autism, on the autism spectrum, ADHD, multiples (twins, triplets, & quads). I love getting to know your family & children and building a rapport and trusting relationship. I love to care for children of all ages, but newborn babies are my absolute favorite (I mean who can resist a tiny new sweet precious baby with that new baby lotion smell). I like being able to provide care for your children so you and your spouse/partner can go out and have fun on a date night or take care of work, other business matters. I like playing inside or outside and even taking your children (if age appropriate) on an outing or evening outing. My favorite part of babysitting &/or nannying is loving on your children and taking care of them as if they were my own children. Bc I’ve worked in the healthcare field for 10 years I am well equipped to handle any type of emergency and being able to remain calm. I have provided child care services for: daytime care, date nights, 24 hour care for 2 weeks while mom & dad went out of the country, weekend care, child custody transfers (taken children from moms house and dropped them off at dads house), school p/u & after school care, taken children to practices/other extra curricular activities, at work conferences, church nursery, OU or OSU games, OU/Texas weekend, football bowl games, Thunder games, daycares, birthday parties, sleepovers, and many other instances for many other events. I also have experience helping with homework. I am extremely responsible and loyal, as I understand, I am providing care to the number 1 little person(s) in your life, your precious children. Before you leave the home, I like to ensure: parents have my cell phone number in order to check in, I have parents cell phone numbers, physical home address, parents have given me a quick run down of the tv setup and remote control(s), address and phone number of where you’re going, all emergency contact numbers, doctors name and number, alarm codes/house keys/carseats/vehicle keys/vehicle insurance and registration info (if applicable), if children will need to shower or bathe, if children are currently ill or have been ill, any medications they are currently taking & if I will need to administer any medications, if children have any allergies to food/medicines/ other esp if they are life threatening allergies & where their epi-pens are located (if applicable), if children have any special diets, children bedtime routine, if they’re any guns in the home (just so I know to keep an eye on where the guns are located bc I have had a past experience - kid knew where the gun was but I didn’t & it was a scary situation that fortunately had a happy ending, where medications are kept, where children plates/cups/bowls/ cutlery are kept, if I’m keeping a baby I like to know if there’s anything I need to keep track of (wet diapers BM etc)/when their next bottle is due/will they need a bath/what does baby like or not like/etc/baby’s schedule, if there’s anywhere in the home or outside that is off limits to children. Lastly, I want your children to have FUN & laugh and look forward to me coming back, I want to care for them, love them, & keep them safe while in my care and in return parents will be more at ease and enjoy themselves.
