Hi! I'm Madelyn, and I am currently a freshman student at the University of Tulsa. During high school, I participated in multiple different clubs and academic endeavors and never had time for a job. Though I do not have any formal nanny experience, I have multiple resources, experiences, and qualities that will make for a great nanny. For me, family has always been my first priority. I have a sister who is six years younger than me, and for the past four years, I have essentially acted as her nanny. In addition, I am fortunate enough to have an adorable niece, and I frequently take care of her. As far as informal experience goes, I currently volunteer for the free reading tutoring program, Reading Partners, here in Tulsa. Once a week I help my student improve her reading by teaching the curriculum and simply reading a book to her. In Read more addition, during high school, I participated in a leadership program where I mentored 7th and 9th-grade girls. We met multiple times a month for breakfast and built relationships. Finally, once a week my senior year I volunteered at a school for kids with special needs. I worked in a classroom of six boys who had behavioral disorders and helped them get through their classwork. I absolutely love cooking and baking and am more than capable of making dinner and cleaning up. In addition, I have my own car so I can take kids to practices and playdates. I have had numerous experiences tutoring children, so I can also help with homework and school. I am a hard working college kid who would love an opportunity to make some extra money. While there are multiple different routes I could have chosen to do so, I choose to pursue nannying because of the enriching experience that it offers.
