Working with children has always been a passion of mine. It first started in middle school when I was given the opportunity to work side by side with the 3 and 4 year olds. We often played games and partook in numerous activities. Then in high school, I volunteered at an after school program for kids ages 5-8. I helped them with their homework, played with them outside, and read to them. Additionally and more recently as a college student, I have worked in several educational settings including elementary, middle, and high schools. Furthermore, I worked at a local summer camp and engaged with kiddos everyday. I ensured they were well taken care of by giving them snacks, transporting them to and from locations safely, and constantly engaging with them.
