Hi, I'm interested in helping with the position you posted for. I'm also looking to connect with parents to help out with occasional sits in the evening, weekends, for date nights, days off school etc. I have around 9 years of childcare experience, 7 of which include babysitting/nannying. Here is some background information about me. I was a volunteer for The Boys and Girls Club of Columbus before I got a job with Upper Arlington's SACC program which I worked at for a year. I also ran an open gym in UA for two years and I worked at the Upper Arlington Parks & Rec. summer camp two summers ago. I worked in a wrap-around kindergarten and after-school program, The Junior Explorers Club for over a year. I worked at Wellington as an assistant teacher for the summer in 2019. I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Read more Sciences along with a minor in Education. I was a substitute teacher in a few different school districts for the 2019-2020 school year, mostly in Upper Arlington until COVID hit. I just finished working in a long term P.E. sub position at Windermere before the schools got shut down due to covid. After this, I've been babysitting/nannying for a few different families over the course of covid. I've babysat for many different families for years now and have nannied for a few as well. I worked as an educational aide/sub. teacher at an elementary school in Upper Arlington last school year. During the 2020-2021 school year, I was a paraprofessional, but I was also subbing/filling in as needed if I had free time in my day. Now I'm a sub teacher and had a long term sub position in 1st grade at an elementary school in Upper Arlington this school year. I enjoy building connections with the students, kids, and families I work with. Watching the students and kids I work with grow in front of my eyes is very rewarding to me. Working in teaching and childcare positions has been my passion for the last 9 years and will be for many more years!
