Every Sunday morning I spend three to four hours in the nursery of my church with children from around 4 months old to about 7 years old. I may have as few as two kids, or as many as eight, depending on the day. I have been looking after some of them for 4 years now, as well as babysitting a few of them outside of church. While looking after them, I do everything from diaper changes, to bottle feeding and snack time, to arts and crafts with the older kids. I love to help kids work through problems and become the best they can be. Like many women, I spent a portion of my youth babysitting neighbor’s children and my younger cousins. I do have minimal experience with care for the elderly as well, though I am much more comfortable caring for children. While I have no formal training Read more on the matters, I do work with a child on the Autism Spectrum, as well as a child with physical and health limitations, who requires a service dog. I also grew up with a younger brother having Asperger's Syndrome, so I do have some general knowledge on how children with autism can act, and how to help them enjoy the same experiences as children without a condition. I am very comfortable taking care of children with any and all aspects of life, and I love watching them learn and grow.
