Hello, My name is Kala Marshall and I am currently a senior at John Carroll University. I am majoring in Middle Childhood Education (science and math) and I will be graduating in May with a Bachelors degree. This summer, I am looking to find a full-time babysitting job. I have lots of experience babysitting as I have done it all throughout high school and college. Most recently, I was babysitting a young boy in middle school whom I tutored in science and math. He had two older sisters who I would help with driving necessities. Throughout both college and high school, I have babysit children ranging from multiple ages and with varying needs. For the majority of college, I babysit for a family of 3 girls- 4th grader, middle schooler, and one high school girl. I have truly become part of their family. However, since I am moving home from Read more college, I will no longer be able to babysit for them. Whenever I had opportunities to go home throughout the school year, I babysat for a 5 year old with a chromosome disorder that inhibited her ability to walk and talk. I attended multiple of her physical therapy appointments and assisted in developing her communication skills and walking abilities. Additionally, in high school, I babysat for a little girl who was blind. During my time babysitting with her, she taught me how to read brail (although I no longer remember much about it anymore lol) and helped me learn about the difficulties she faces each and every day. I formed a very close relationship with her and the mother had even informed me that I was the only person she has ever opened up to before. As I have just explained some of my babysitting opportunities, I hope to have made it clear that I am a strong applicant who has worked with a lot of children varying in age and needs. In regards to my schedule, my availability is very flexible, so I am able to work with people who may struggle finding the exact times you want a babysitter for. However, I am looking to get around 40 hours each week to pay for all of my financial responsibilities. Throughout the summer I love having time to go to the pool, play sports outside, go to movies on rainy days, and much much more. With my current babysitting job I make sure that all homework is done before any activities are finished. I know many parents enjoy having their house clean after they come home from work. I do their laundry, clean the dishes, vacuum, wash their sheets, go grocery shopping for them occasionally and other little chores. Please let me know if you are interested in hiring me.
