I have been taking care of children since I've been a child myself. I have taken on responsibility of my God daughter since she was 1 and she is 13 now. My friends all have children but me and I am known as the babysitter for them. Children are amazing, joyful and a bundle of fun but I do have a time out rule. Which has to be permitted from the parents to use in front of the child because it's necessary and shows the children that they have to establish me as someone they have to listen to by the people they respect and know as mom or dad. Time outs rarely ever happen but it's because of the base line introduction of time outs no child wants it. I am a very nice and kind person. I like to have fun and be creative. I love doing kid Read more activities, playing in shaving cream, having fun in the sun, finding new ways to learn new things. I like being a productive member of society. Volunteer work is something I personally enjoy. My God daughter and I pick trash up regularly and help out with events and functions in the down town Portsmouth area. I am surrounded by children on almost a daily basis. I have 5 best friends who all have 3 children each. I know how to handle situations in almost any occurrence. I am CPR certified. I have been through crisis classes and behavior health classes. I at one point had my save serve license for administering food but it's been many years ago it no longer applies but the knowledge is still there. My last job was taking care of mrdd patients and understanding their needs and wants while assisting in every aspect of daily functions. I am in the process of going back to school but that will not be for another year. So in the mean time I am looking for all work possible because gas prices are not cheap and school isn't free. So if you would be interested in me watching your children I would love to have the opportunity to see if we are compatible with each other to be your babysitter.
