I have babysat for many years, children ages three months to twelve years. I am very familiar with children with disabilities, as I volunteered at Mentor High's C.A.R.E lab for adolescents and young adults diagnosed with multiple disabilities for my senior capstone project. I typically help with caring for the children, cooking, and housework. I'm certified in CPR and first aid and also have my Early Childhood Education certificate from Mentor High school. Overall, I enjoy hands on activities that allow the children to learn. I think play is a large part of the learning process so I often try to incorporate outdoor play and art projects into my time with children.
