My name is MaKayla Black and I am 26 years old. I am from Ohio, which that is also where I reside. I’m close to downtown Sharon, Hermitage and Farrell. I am also willing to commute to any residence in Mercer County. I reside on the West Hilltop in Masury, OH. I currently work full-time at Sharon Regional Medical Center as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST). My career is based upon caring for and supporting/helping patients who are in need, whether it’s emergency surgery, elective surgery, advice, helping hand or anything along the lines of providing for others in a good/honest/healthy manner. Due to bankruptcy issues and ownership problems, the hospital is closed down at the moment due to unresolved problems with the state (DOH) and with new ownership operators license. I have a high school diploma (graduated in 2017) and I also have an associates degree in science (graduated Read more in 2020). I am currently a part-time student, taking online classes to obtain another associates degree in science but so I can become a CSTFA, meaning Certified Surgical Technician First Assistant. My personal experience with babysitting is intermittent. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I have babysat family members children, family friends children, friends children, etc. I am comfortable with watching and/or caring for 3 children at one time, max. I have watched age groups 0-12 months old, 1-10 year olds, 11-15 year olds, elderly people (ranging from age 60-85) and disabled adults/children. I’ve been a caregiver for my aunt, who was disabled, since I was 14 years old. She was hit by a car at the age of 7. She passed away a couple years ago, shortly after my grandmother had passed. Things I would do for or with her while caring for her are giving her scheduled doses of medication. She had multiple different medications that she was to take every day, in the morning and before bed. I helped her with getting to and from the restroom, along with to and from her bedroom at night. I feed her, I bathed her, I changed her when she had accidents, etc. I have experience with people who have autism and Down syndrome. Certification that I currently obtain are my CPR/BLS and first aid certification for all and any age group. I also have legal documentation that is up-to-date and provides information on my FBI Federal and Criminal Background Check and a PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
